As RemoteLock’s creative director, I was responsible for leading a wide variety of projects, from designing marketing campaigns to a complete website redesign. I worked within a talented marketing team, collaborating with stakeholders from every department as well as many contractors and agencies.

Creating the Logo
When I began working at RemoteLock, they had multiple brands with inconsistent treatments. The company had operated as a hardware business for years but wanted to pivot to keyless, SaaS access control. I redesigned the RemoteLock logo and phased out the other brands.
Removed lock and key iconography
Added new branded yellow
Created a single, iconic emblem within the logo
Improved typography
RemoteLock’s logo emphasizes the “signal wave”, rather than physical lock hardware.
The emblem works as a scalable icon that can stand in for the logo on social media and app screens.
We provide clear directions to avoid misuse that can dilute brand recognition.
Brand Guidelines
I developed these detailed brand standards outlining RemoteLock’s look and feel, voice and tone, key marketing personas and more. I worked with our talented copywriter, Molly Worth, to develop a clear voice for RemoteLock that finds a balance between casual and professional.
Our color palette includes animated gradients which add subtle motion to web and video.
Our voice is bold and authoritative without being overly corporate or stodgy.
We provide succinct copywriting guidance to help marketers dial in their communications.
RemoteLock Website
RemoteLock’s website was dated and making updates was inefficient and complex. I partnered with Rachel Hoffmann and the talented people at Groundwrk.com to create a responsive web design built on a modern CMS. The new design allowed us to sell to three very different market segments, and drove a 70% increase in sales consultations.

I was tasked with producing a high-quality overview video. However, RemoteLock serves two very distinct markets with different product needs. I partnered with Otherworldly Productions to lead a one-day video shoot at a customer’s property, providing us with a broad selection of B-roll footage. I then commissioned the talented people at Zerosun to handle post production work.

Marketing content and sales collateral are always in a state of flux. New products are released, markets change and sales strategies evolve. I was responsible for designing and maintaining a library of sales collateral and gated marketing content for two very different customer profiles. Here are just a few pieces of content I developed alongside our talented writer, Molly Worth. Additional design support from Lorena Fox.
Presentations and Data Visualizations
I have extensive experience working with executives and sales teams to develop presentations, infographics, and data visualizations. I’m skilled at transforming abstract ideas and real data into straightforward visuals. I create most materials in a format that allows for ongoing edits and customization without creating a design bottleneck.

Social Media Imagery
Social media is ever changing, and standing out from the crowd is challenging. I worked with RemoteLock’s social media manager, Marisa Abbott, to create a steady stream of images and videos promoting ads, articles, events and marketing campaigns. I also enabled my team with tools and processes which allowed them to produce their own branded imagery.
